What is Pocket Yard?

Pocket Yard is horse-yard planning software for shared care tasks, horse records, staff handovers and yard supplies. It brings the people caring for a yard into one shared plan.

Can I look around without signing up?

Yes. The sample yard uses fictional records and is available without an account. It is a guided preview; your own yard needs an account and saved records.

How much does it cost?

Paid membership is £39.99 per yard per year and automatically renews until cancelled. Invited team members do not pay separately for the same yard. Check the pricing page for the full terms.

Does the free trial need a card?

No. You can try your own yard for one calendar month without a card. The trial does not automatically become a paid membership.

Can owners and staff share a yard?

Yes. Each team member uses their own account. Keep task responsibility clear and invite colleagues to the appropriate yard. Owner/admin finance is separate from everyday shared care work.

Can I use Pocket Yard on a laptop or iPhone?

You can use the web app in a browser on a laptop or phone. Google Play testing separately requires a supported Android device and an eligible tester account.

Does horse-riding GPS keep recording with the screen locked?

Continuous background recording is not guaranteed in a browser. Device power settings, permissions and browser behaviour can interrupt a route. Check your device and read the tracking guide before a ride.

Can I replace professional care decisions with the planner?

No. The planner records responsibilities and information. The responsible owner and qualified professionals make horse-care decisions.

Are BWP, KWPN or other organisations endorsing Pocket Yard?

Links to independent organisations are research and resource links. They do not imply endorsement, a partnership or an official data licence.

What can I use immediately for free?

The public resources include a daily yard checklist, handover checklist, stock-planning calculators and practical templates. They are separate from your private yard records.
